The historic Apulian dairy intercepts the latest food trends and brings its flagship products to the leading event for gastronomic innovation.
New gourmet products, such as the fresh Burrata with Basil, successful innovations like the award-winning Smoked Burrata, and classic cheeses of Apulian dairy tradition, such as Caciocavallo and Caciotta, are among the flagship products that Caseificio Ignalat will showcase at SIAL 2024, the international food innovation fair taking place in Paris from 19 to 23 October.
Caseificio Ignalat is a renowned company in the Italian dairy sector, specializing for three generations in the production and distribution of excellent dairy products made from 100% Apulian milk, carefully selected from local farms and processed through short-chain principles.
Due to the distinctive quality of its products, Ignalat cheeses have been selected for a series of tastings organized by ITA – Italian Trade Agency at SIAL, curated by renowned Italian-French Maître Fromager Lorenzo Mazzucco. These tastings will take place in ITA – Italian Trade Agency’s institutional space within Hall 7 on 20 and 21 October, starting at 12:30 p.m.
Those attending the tastings will have the opportunity to savor some of Ignalat’s finest delicacies, enjoying a superior tasting experience that conveys the flavor of true craftsmanship. Each product will be presented in detail, with plenty of insights about its production process and culinary pairings.
The dairy’s presence at the fair is not just an opportunity to showcase its products to an international audience but also marks a strategic moment to strengthen its position in foreign markets, which currently represent 50% of the company's total sales volume. With over 20 foreign markets served, Ignalat confirms its strong focus on exports and global distribution, with particular attention to quality—a fundamental pillar of this international growth.
The company has just completed a highly successful six-month period, with excellent results both in Italy and abroad, where it has registered half of its revenue.
“We are performing well in all the countries where we operate - says Vincenzo Ignazzi, Export Manager at Caseificio Ignalat - In recent years, our exports of Made in Puglia dairy products have gained increasing appreciation in non-European markets. This is due to the excellence of our cheeses and our ability to adapt our products to international regulations, logistics and distribution needs, as well as to the diverse demands of modern consumers, who are becoming more demanding and informed.”
The consolidation of its positioning in foreign markets confirms Ignalat’s winning strategy, which has been implemented for years, focusing on structured exports and an international vision for its products.
“In a context of global competition, we have made quality our calling card” adds Ignazzi. The integrity and safety of the production chain are undoubtedly key factors in this process. Every Ignalat cheese is the result of rigorous control over the quality of raw materials and a production process that respects craftsmanship while also meeting the strictest food safety standards, as evidenced by the international BRC and IFS FOOD product certifications held by the dairy.
Additionally, due to an advanced process management system, the Apulian dairy is able to meet all the challenges of international distribution, relying on a logistics network that ensures efficiency, precision, and punctuality. This allows the dairy to operate across multiple markets, including retail, ho.re.ca, food service and specialized gastronomy.
“Ours is a continuous pursuit, where tradition constantly intertwines with innovation - highlights Ignazzi - This is how our artisanal cheeses are created, milk masterpieces that continue to gain appreciation abroad, as evidenced by the latest recognition awarded to our Smoked Burrata at the Great Taste Awards, where it was the only Italian cow's milk cheese to receive the top rating of three stars.”
For Caseificio Ignalat, SIAL 2024 will be a prestigious platform to open new distribution opportunities, forge new partnerships and strengthen existing business relationships.
After more than seventy years of success, Ignalat is now a benchmark in the Apulian and Italian dairy scene, once again affirming its role as a key player at this major event.
